1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using Focus Universe ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of the App
Focus Universe is a productivity and focus timer application that uses gamification (stars, XP, levels, achievements, and seasonal events) to help users build consistent focus habits. The App is available on Android via Google Play.
3. Free and Premium Features
Focus Universe is free to download and use. Certain features require a Premium subscription:
- Access to all star types beyond the standard free set
- 1.5× XP multiplier on completed sessions
- Unlimited stars in your galaxy (free tier: 30 stars)
- Premium-tier Seasonal Events
Seasonal star rewards always require completing the corresponding in-app event, regardless of subscription tier.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
Premium subscriptions are offered on a monthly or annual basis, and as a one-time lifetime purchase. All transactions are processed by Google Play Billing. Prices are displayed in your local currency at the time of purchase.
- Monthly: billed every 30 days, cancel anytime
- Annual: billed once per year, cancel before renewal to avoid the next charge
- Lifetime: one-time purchase, no recurring charges
To cancel or manage your subscription, go to Google Play → Account → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Google Play's refund policy. We do not issue refunds directly.
5. User Content
Any text you enter in the App (display name, galaxy name, mission descriptions) is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to us. You retain full ownership of any content you create within the App.
6. App Blocker Feature
The App Blocker feature is an optional tool to help you minimize distractions during focus sessions. By enabling it, you grant the App permission to read your list of installed applications solely for the purpose of blocking apps you designate. This feature is provided as-is and is not guaranteed to block all apps in all configurations.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the App
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to circumvent premium features without payment
- Interfere with the App's functionality
8. Intellectual Property
All content within Focus Universe — including but not limited to the pixel art, star designs, galaxy visuals, seasonal event concepts, and the "Focus Universe" name — is owned by the developer and protected by applicable copyright law. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks or copyrighted materials.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Focus Universe is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements. Your use of the App is at your own risk.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the App, including loss of data or loss of progress.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you through an in-app message. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing legal action.
